Welcome to my training page. In late 2003 I began training under the guidance of Robbie Johnston who you may learn more about in a short bio on the My Team page. Below is an outline of a standard training week for me during my build-up phase. Having spent five years living and training in the United States while on an athletic scholarship I now find it easiest to calculate my mileage and structure my training using Miles instead of Kilometres. Hopefully this is not too confusing for those who work in Km's.
Monday:
Tuesday:
- AM: 4-5 miles - Easy
- PM: 10 miles - Intervals or Tempo Run
Wednesday:
Thursday:
- AM: 3-4 miles - Easy
- PM: 13 miles - Steady
Friday:
Saturday:
- AM: 10-12 miles -Intervals or Tempo Run
- PM: 6-8 miles - Easy
Sunday:
- AM: 18 miles - Steady
- PM: 3 miles - Easy
Total:
- 100-105 miles (160-170 Km's)
